Angela Shepherd

Angela has spent over 20 years in communications, including roles at Nike, and has also had a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
She is currently Senior Director, Global Sustainability Engagement. Her role involves identifying external engagement opportunities for Nike to share its sustainability story with stakeholders, as well as looking for opportunities to partner with other brands and NGOs to drive shared sustainability goals.
She offers expertise in digital strategy and event organisation, combined with a track record of global engagement, aligning with the University’s focus on sport and sustainability.
As a proud Loughborough graduate, she is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive alumni network and exploring innovative ways to connect globally.
Her three-year term will run from 2024 - 2027.
