Organised by Human Resources, the event was hosted by the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer. Each retiree received a certificate and a sustainable gift from The Crop Club CIC as a token of appreciation for their contributions.
During the celebration, Professor Nick Jennings expressed his gratitude to all staff, acknowledging that the University’s success is built on the hard work and dedication of its people, particularly the retirees. He highlighted the significant projects they had delivered, the support they provided to colleagues, the inspiration they offered to students, and the lasting impact they have had on the University. Collectively, the retirees attending the event contributed over 300 years of service!
Special recognition was given to John Tyrer and Steph McKeating, who dedicated 40 and 34 years of service.
